About Me

Picture

My name is Mai Le and I'm currently twenty-one years old. I enjoy doing many creative activities as I find it's a soothing outlet for my stress. One of my greatest passion in life is to write, because I believe that words are a strong tool to create and generate change. That is my goal in life, to have the ability to change people's views or perspective on the world by writing. I'm mostly fascinated with social and cultural issues such as feminism and the impact of pop culture in modern society.

I have just finished a bachelor's degree in Arts majoring in English, Text and Writing which I've enjoyed studying very much as it has broaden my knowledge of both classical and modern literature. History is another interest of mine especially European history, I'm a very curious person and love to research subjects that interest me.

Among writing another passion of mine is photography. It's a wonderful artform, to be able to look at a still image that allows your emotions to stir and makes you think is another powerful tool of conveying ideologies. As you can see I'm rather a very opinionated person who wants to share my ideologies to the world. It would be wonderful if I could make a difference in the world with my writing. I also love web designs and making graphics, this of course is a hobby, I learnt myself for over 5 years how to web design and use both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

In my spare time when I'm not writing or web designing I love to read, mainly classical literature but also philsophy. My favourite writers are: Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde and F. Nietzche. Writers like those influence me greatly because their works have had such an impact in society.

I am currently working as a legal editor at an e-publishing company, which I love, since I am writing but also web designing and creating graphics. It's a wonderful experience but my dream job would be to have my own column in which I can discuss major social issues.
